I'm forcing myself to post everything I draw on this blog, even if I don't like the results. FOrced myself to draw after a long day without much warmup, and this was the result, oh dear!
A few figure drawings I did after work. Really need to get back into the anatomy game, it's already beginning to help just after a few days of studying again.
Fairly quick arm study before bed. Trying to memorise the names of muscle groups as I go. Managed to remember all of them except the Serratus (which I'm terrible at drawing - no surprise there!).
Getting back into studying my anatomy. I'm going to start naming the muscle groups in the next few I do to allow myself to better educate myself. I think about 30 minutes was spent on this, in between having a very intellectual debate over Twitter.
Since there aren't many life drawing classes near me that I know of, I've taken to studying from life using resources such as books and the interwebs. One site I've come across is Posemaniacs, which has a great 30 second pose page that can be used to help improve your figure drawing and foreshortening by limiting your time to complete your drawing. This is great for me since I find myself constantly re-doing things. The results weren't incredibly satisfactory, though I've lots to improve on,
A few life drawing pieces from almost a year ago. I really need to get back into life drawing, though there don't seem to be very many classes around Edinburgh :(
I used to use while at university to upload and keep track of my work, which is really why I never used the thing. Let's changed that.
My names Danny, and I'm an artist at a games company in Edinburgh. I've just graduated from Abertay in June, and I'm really looking to improve my traditional art skills and technical knowledge, and keeping a blog seems like a great place to start.
